Venavill village was a war-affected village in Puthukudiyiruppu, Mullaitivu district. Nearly 30 displaced families went back to the village and have been living there for the past 5 years without any basic utilities such as water, sanitary disposal, and electricity. All the families are rebuilding their lives, mainly involved in farming and daily wage jobs to make ends meet.
Manitha Neyam Trust enabled the village to have access to drinking water by providing a tube-well facility. This project was completed recently.
