Students of Sri Sarada Centre in Puthukudiyiruppu, Mullaitivu District received a computer education facility through Manitha Neyam Trust. This facility will empower the students residing in the Sri Sarada Centre and the project is focused to prepare them for the information technology age.
The computer equipment was funded by the Suthersan family in remembrance of Late Dr. Sudan Suthersan. Manitha Neyam Trust will continue to fund the operational expenses of the project. This project was implemented through the Vivekananda Community Foundation.
The opening ceremony of the project was held on April 28th, 2022, under the leadership of Mr Perinpanayagam (President, Sri Sarada Centre) and Mrs. Abirami Kailasapillai (Chairperson, MNT Sri Lanka), Mr. K. Aravinthan (Treasurer, MNT USA), Mr. Pratheeswaran (Executive Director, Vivekananda Community Foundation), Mr. V. Kajendran (IT Higher Studies Consultant), Mrs. J. Janani (Manager, Sri Sarada Centre). Community members, teachers and students also graced the event.
