As the pandemic continues to devastate Sri Lanka with the third wave of infections, the Sri Lankan government-imposed travel restrictions around the country. Due to these travel restrictions, families living below the poverty line and off daily wages are the most affected. With the economic shutdown, they are continuing to find it very difficult to survive.
Sivaneri Arappani Manram – Kalmunai provided relief packages with dry foods to 75 families in the Ampara district, Thirukkovil GS division.
The deserving families were selected by the Divisional Secretary, and the packages distributed by the Sivaneri Arappani Manram – Kalmunai. The cost of the relief packages was funded by the Manitha Neyam Trust.
Manitha Neyam Trust expects to continue the relief donations with the help of donors and well-wishers.
