Manitha Neyam Trust (MNT) has received appeals for help due to thed deteriorating Covid situation in Sri Lanka. We have interacted directly with medical professionals in the North East of Sri Lanka to understandt their specific needs so that the equipment is directed to the righth hospitals to treat the relevant patient groups and to ensure the sustained utility of these equipment in the long term.
We have also taken into consideration the ongoing responses from otherc charities and have purchased within Sri Lanka, as our initial response, equipment totalling LKR 4M to enhance the delivery of Oxygen therapy to those patients in need. High Flow Oxygen Devices and Oxygen Concentrators are being dispatched to the Batticaloa, Kilinochchi and Jaffna Hospitals.
