On August 08th, 2024, a new smart classroom was inaugurated at Kalaimagal Maha Vidyalayam, under the leadership of the school’s principal, Mr. Thiagarajah. This initiative, like many others, aims to promote modern teaching methods for enhanced learning.

The project was Funded by the Manitha Neyam Trust and executed by the Batticaloa-Amparai Science Union.

The event had many attendees, including Mr. R. Chiranjeevi and Mrs. Chiranjeevi representing the Manitha Neyam Trust, along with Assistant Director of Education Mr. Sahadevaraja, Religious Studies Faculty Advisor Mr. K. Chandrakumar, PSI and Agriculture Faculty Advisor Mr. S. Mohan, President of the Scientific Union Mr. Mattu Ampara, Founder and Coordinator of the Scientific Union Ampara Mr. V. Yathurshan, School Development Association Secretary Mr. Madhivannan, Alumni Association Secretary Mr. Sanojan, the school’s Vice Principal, teachers, members of the Scientific Union, students, and other attendees.

In recognition of the contributions made by the Manitha Neyam Trust, Mr. and Mrs. Chiranjeevi were honored by the school community and presented with a memento by the Batticaloa-Amparai Science Union.

We hope to build many more smart classrooms, to help children and their teachers across Sri Lanka.
