Manitha Neyam Trust is pleased to report that the provision and maintenance of prosthetic limbs to vulnerable members of the communities in the Vanni region has proceeded well, in spite of the challenges with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The 3rd mobile clinic was conducted in Kilinochchi this week, in partnership with our project partner Meththa Foundation. So far over 80 beneficiaries have been treated. It is our aim to conduct regular, quarterly clinics to initially access all those in need of assistance in the Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu Districts. The provision of a prosthetic limb and its maintenance over a 3-year period costs approximately LKR 70,000.
