Manitha Neyam Trust provided Samaposha, a nutritional meal supplement, for 100 elderly people in the Mullaitivu district. This service project recently embarked to aid the issue of malnutrition in the local elderly population. These are people within the community who have no income at all, and who do not have family to look after them.
Each person receives nutritional food (samaposha) monthly. The samaposha is prepared by a mixture of grains, legumes, and protein, including green gram, black gram, soya beans, corn, kollu, kondal kadalai, and rice. One kilo of samaposha is issued to each person at their doorstep, to ensure their safety and well-being during this pandemic.
Thanneerutru Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Seva Centre took the initiative and distributed to the elders safely. We believe this project will help to eradicate the malnutrition issue faced by the elders in the community. We thank our donors and well-wishers for their generous contributions!
