Manitha Neyam Trust is proud to support a transformative initiative aimed at empowering rural young students through computer education. Under the theme “Computer Revolution in Every Village,” this program provides essential digital skills to those who need them most, bridging the technology gap in underprivileged areas.
Many students in rural communities have never had the opportunity to use a computer, despite the world’s rapid technological advancements. This initiative is dedicated to equipping them with foundational digital skills through mobile training sessions using laptops, conducted over three months in each village.
Following the success of the first village, the program has now reached Selvanagar, where basic computer classes for students have been launched at Siva Vidyalayam in Arayampathy, Batticaloa. The initiative is being implemented by Vivekananda Technical College to inspire and prepare young learners for the future while emphasizing the importance of computer literacy.
