attapalai, Mamoolai, Poothanvayal, Ponnakar, and Vithiyapuram are five villages in the heart of the Mullaitivu district, facing a critical shortage of basic educational necessities for their children. The Manitha Neyam Trust (MNT) has leaned in to address this gap, offering crucial sponsorships to over 100 underprivileged children to commence and continue their preschool education.

Uniforms for All
MNT ensures that all children are provided with uniforms. This not only fosters a sense of unity and belonging, but also removes barriers related to clothing, allowing children to attend school with dignity.
Promoting Physical Education
Understanding the importance of sports in overall development, MNT has equipped the preschools with sports facilities. An annual sports meet is organized where children can participate and showcase their talents, with prizes awarded to encourage their efforts.
Celebrating Special Events
MNT places a strong emphasis on celebrating both spiritual and international events. Festivals such as Thai Pongal, New Year, and Navaratri are observed with great merriment. Additionally, International Children’s Day is celebrated, bringing joy and a sense of global connection to the young learners.
Year-End Farewell
A special farewell is arranged for children transitioning from preschool to primary school. During this event, they receive school bags, exercise books, pens, and other essentials to ensure a smooth transition. These farewells are more than just goodbyes; they are celebrations of growth and new beginnings.
Supporting Local Communities
Partnerships and liaisons, as we have with the Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Seva Centre in Thanneeroottu, are why we are able to lean in and help these local communities.
