Kattumurivu Tamil Mixed school is located in the village of Vakarai in Batticaloa District. Most of the families in this village live below the poverty line. Students preparing for the Ordinary Level exams were facing difficulties in traveling back to their home for lunch and coming back to the tuition classes provided by the volunteers at school.
Manitha Neyam Trust stepped in to help the students with a lunch program, where number of students getting nutritious food. This sponsorship ensures the students can concentrate on their studies while giving their families a relief from providing a meal at home.
