MNT – Vivekananda Community Foundation (VCF) & Vivekananda College of Technology (VCOT) Activities in 2025 – June 14, 2026

In 2025, the Vivekananda Community Foundation (VCF) and Vivekananda College of Technology (VCOT), with the support of Manitha Neyam Trust (MNT), achieved significant milestones in empowering underserved communities across Sri Lanka’s Eastern Coast.  Together, we made a meaningful impact in the lives of many individuals and families through education, skills development, humanitarian assistance, and community support.

Highlights of Our 2025 Achievements

• Through our Community College network, we provided ICT and Office Management training to more than 300 youth across five locations, spanning from Mullaitivu to Ampara.
• Our Mobile IT Outreach Initiative brought digital literacy opportunities to 65 students in three remote villages using laptops donated by MNT.
• Seven university students received monthly educational stipends of LKR 7,000, helping them continue their studies and pursue their academic aspirations.
• We provided monthly nutritional support packages to 20 children with disabilities at the Pukalidam Special Needs Center.
• In response to the devastation caused by Cyclone Dithwa, we distributed emergency dry-ration packs to 80 displaced families.
• Most recently, we supported 2,935 G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) students across 72 schools by providing model examination papers to assist with their February examinations.

Looking Ahead to 2026

Building on these successes, we are excited to launch an Organic Integrated Farm Project in partnership with VCF. This initiative will serve as a hub for community employment, skills development, and sustainable livelihoods, creating long-term economic opportunities for local families.
