Opening Ceremony of Centre for Disability Rehabilitation, Kilinochchi – June 22, 2025

On June 6th, a new chapter was written in the Vanni region of Northern Sri Lanka, as the Centre for Disability Rehabilitation was officially declared open. The event was graced by the Governor of the Northern Province, who inaugurated the Centre amidst the presence of MNT Trustees, Metha Foundation Officials, religious & community leaders, healthcare professionals, and beneficiaries.
This landmark project is a joint effort by the Manitha Neyam Trust and its longstanding partner, the Metha Foundation, reflecting their shared commitment to serve individuals living with limb loss and other physical disabilities. Located in Kilinochchi, the Centre is designed to provide locally assembled, high-quality prosthetic limbs, routine clinics, and follow-up care for those who have lost mobility due to war, illness, or accidents.
We are proud to have continued this long partnership, to allow people to regain mobility and functionality. Many thanks to our donors who have helped us continue this for many years.
