As the pandemic continues to devastate Sri Lanka with the third wave of infections, the government-imposed travel restrictions. This greatly affects daily-wage workers and their families, as well as those living below the poverty level.

As an effort to assist them in this tough time, Manitha Neyam Trust has been donating relief packages. This time, we donated to approximately 400 families.

The Helping Hand project, a team of youth volunteers, made it possible to distribute to 400 families in Penrith estate, Avissawella area in the Western province. All beneficiaries are estate workers and daily-wage earning families.

The families were selected by the youth volunteers of the Helping Hand project, who organized the donation. The full cost of the relief packages was funded by the Manitha Neyam Trust, thanks to our donors!

Manitha Neyam Trust expects to continue the relief donations with the help of donors and well-wishers. Thank you for your ongoing support.
